Dr.-Ing. Georg Baumann founded the engineering office baumann in 1984. The company started with design and construction of custom made machinery for the regional industry. The first assembly shop was already built in Amberg in 1987. Since 1991 baumann has focused on robot and automation technology. Robot technology became the core competency of the company. Meanwhile, baumann is one of the leading systems integration companies of robot manufacturers such as Stäubli and KUKA. baumann is considered to be among the world’s most important contacts concerning automated assembly technology.
